Our 14-day Sports Pilot Course can launch your journey, starting the flight training course at $3,925, and includes only the minimum required flight training hours.
Note: Fuel is not included; students must refuel the aircraft after each flight.
The starting price of the course includes:
• 15 hours dual
• 5 hours solo
• 20 hours ground
If you find you need extra training, plan ahead to make the most of your investment. We suggest setting aside funds for 5 to 8 additional hours. Aircraft rental is $100 per hour, and instructor time is $55 per hour, for a total of $155 per hour.
To qualify, you need a valid U.S. driver's license; no FAA medical certificate is required. However, if you have ever been denied or failed an FAA medical certificate, you are not eligible for this program. A failed FAA medical is defined as a formal denial or non-issuance after your application, for any reason. This is a regulatory requirement for Sport Pilot eligibility, and no exceptions are permitted.
To enroll in the Sport Pilot accelerated course, you must complete the Sport Pilot Knowledge Test before starting.
Note: Aircraft rental is charged at a dry rate and does not include fuel. Students must refuel the aircraft after each flight. Fuel costs typically range from $40 to $50 per flight hour, depending on current prices. These figures are provided for budgeting purposes.
